About the program
The Creative Arts & Media Production Program at SouthRift Digital Innovation Hub (SRDI Hub) is designed to nurture creative talent and equip youth and local communities with practical skills in modern digital media and creative industries. The program offers hands-on training in photography, videography, graphic design, animation, music production, digital content creation, podcasting, branding, and multimedia storytelling.
Through partnerships with local universities, creative institutions, and internationally recognized organizations, participants gain access to industry-relevant learning opportunities, professional mentorship, and globally recognized certifications that strengthen career pathways within the creative economy.
At SRDI Hub, learners receive real hands-on incubation and production experience using fully equipped media laboratories, creative studios, digital production tools, and innovation spaces. Participants work on live projects, collaborate with mentors and industry professionals, and build professional portfolios that prepare them for employment, freelancing, entrepreneurship, and content monetization opportunities across Africa and beyond.
The program also promotes creativity, cultural expression, digital innovation, and youth empowerment by helping participants transform talent into sustainable careers and businesses within the growing media and entertainment industry.
